Pat loves America.

And she has been painting scenes of America since 1979, capturing its cities, its countryside, its seacoasts, its farmlands, and its forests.

Pat has a style of painting which abstracts the essence of what she sees and - much like the Boogie Woogie of Mondrian- and it captures its sounds and its rhythms in abstract form.

Pat lives with her family in Alexandria, Virginia. Many of her paintings, as a consequence, have depicted the quaint villages and festivals, fairs and parades so common the area of Alexandria and nearby Washington, D.C.

Pat also has a fascination with New York City, and makes frequent visits to New York, where she will invariably capture in paint the awe and excitement that only a visitor to the city can truly experience.

Pat, like most contemporary folk artists, tends to focus on things that are good. Her paintings, as a result, are joyful and often whimsical. And her bright, vibrant palette reinforces that sense of happiness and joy.

Paintings by Pat are in the permanent collections of the White House, Washington; and the John Judkyn Memorial of the American Museum in Bath, England among others.
